Program officers from the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Process (OPAPP) and Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) chaired by MP Marjanie Macasalong met with the officials of the Provincial Government of Tawi-Tawi, 2nd Marine Brigade, Tawi-Tawi Provincial Women Council, and Languyan Municipal Government on Wednesday ( Dec 1, 2021) to coordinate their activities for the regional and national action plan on women, youth, peace, and security.
Vice-Governor Michail Ahaja facilitated the meeting emphasizing the areas for cooperation between PLGU and the OPAPP-BYC for impact-oriented programs and projects especially for the women and youth in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao by ensuring inclusivity and impartiality.
First Lady Jumda A. Sali, Chairperson of the Tawi-Tawi Provincial Women Council, and Municipal Administrator Hji. Dimzar Sali provided circumstantial guidance and resolution to OPAPP for the conduct of women and youth consultation in the Municipality of Languyan.
OPAPP in partnership with BYC will be holding workshops and consultations involving youth, women, and Indigenous Peoples from various municipalities through the Social Healing Peacebuilding Program (SHAPE) employing conflict-sensitive and peace-promoting interventions in affirmation of the commitment of the Philippine government to the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250.
