NORDECO, TESDA partners for energization project in DavNor town

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority in Davao Region (TESDA-11), in partnership with the Northern Davao Electric Cooperative Inc. (NORDECO) has conducted the Energization Project Ceremony in Sitio Kapatagan, Barangay Gupitan, Kapalong, Davao del Norte on November 19.

The project was started on October 12 this year through the 14-day skills training on Installing Electrical and Protective Devices leading to Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II.

The training, which was facilitated by the Regional Training Center – Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) in Davao City, was participated by 50 Indigenous Peoples who are all residents of Sitio Kapatagan.

The 50 participants include 35 men and 15 women residents who were trained on the process of the installation of house wirings, safety switch breakers, and service entrance connections in their own homes.

After capacitating the beneficiaries, their output from the said training was connected to the main feeder line of NORDECO.

NORDECO was able to energize around 20 electric posts that are now providing the supply of electricity to 50 households in Sitio Kapatagan. (NW)
