Davao Region to host freediving festival

Davao Region is set to host the country’s biggest freediving event, the Bay Deep Mati Freediving Festival on September 24 to 26 in Pujada Bay, Mati City, Davao Oriental.

Regarded as one of the most beautiful bays in the world, Pujada is ready to show-off its underwater seascape in the said three-day event.

More than 50 certified freedivers and Influencers from around the country has confirmed their participation in the much-awaited freediving festival.

Aside from freediving, the festival will also hold a sunrise yoga activity along with an Underwater Photography and Videography Workshop on September 23 to 24 at Dahican Beach and Waniban Island.

The workshops will feature Cebu and Hong Kong-based film director and photographer Dani Bautista and event and portrait freedive photographer and certified freedive instructor Niccolo Stevens Henson.

Bay Deep Mati Freediving Festival is an initiative of the Department of Tourism XI, Province of Davao Oriental, and the City of Mati in partnership with GLIDE Freediving and Spearfishing and Ocean Bluex Freediving. ( PR/ DOT Xl)
